We are pleased to announce the establishment of PT Toyota Astra Financial Services (TA Finance). This joint venture between Toyota Financial Services Corporation (TFSC) and Astra International Tbk., whose ownership is shared equally between the two major companies, will be specifically involved in automotive financing business throughout Indonesia.

TFSC was established to support Toyota sales and is part of a global network covering over 31 countries and look after motor financing needs of more than 3.5 million customers worldwide.

Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which was signed in 14 October 2005, PT Toyota Astra Financial Services (TA Finance) was established, positioning TA Finance as TFSC's 31st subsidiary in the world.

TA Finance will provide Consumer and Lease financing through Toyota dealers to all car buyers across the entire Toyota range, from passenger cars to light commercial vehicles. This new corporation will be built on the market strength and excellent organization of AI and Toyota coupled with the proven risk management policies and practices of TFSC.

TA Finance plans to open 6 representative offices in the year 2006 in 4 major cities, including Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, and Malang, with the total amount finance targeted at Rp 1.000.000.000.000 (1 Trillion Rupiah). Furthermore, we expect to open another 16 offices within these 3 years, with an amount finance of 6 Trillion Rupiah.

Ultimately, we look forward to bring total quality of service to Toyota customers into realisation as TA Finance begins operating officially in May.
