Jakarta (14/10) – Located at Hotel Gran Melia, PT Toyota-Astra Motor introduced the new model of the most phenomenal automobile in Indonesia which only required less than five years to pass the 270 thousand units sold mark. The high market demand and profitable resale value are the indicators of just how credible this automobile in the eyes of Indonesian. NEW AVANZA now more stylish and elegant with each iteration.
Ever since its launch in 2004, Avanza became the market leader, not only in its class, but also as the most sought after automobile in the last couple of years. Entering the fifth year, the market demand remains high and the customers even willing to wait during indent period to own an Avanza. Various awards from the media or independent survey institutions stand as the testament of superior quality and service.
“Today, Avanza’s indent period is about two to three months. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience and we really appreciate the customers’ loyalty and patience,” said Johnny Darmawan, President Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor. “We are grateful, the market enthusiasm remains high. The demand for Avanza is growing constantly, from 50 thousand units in 2004 and 2005 to more than 60 thousand units in 2007 and 2008. Sometimes the resale price exceeds the original price due to the high market demand."
As a part of its ongoing innovations, PT TAM introduced four new looks for the four existing types which are: 1.3 E M/T, 1.3 G M/T, 1.5 S A/T and 1.5 S M/T.
At the exterior, the new looks include the addition of chrome element on the rear door (S&G), the new fog lamp design (S&G), outer mirror (S) and side molding (S). With these changes, New Avanza is more stylish and elegant along with sportier center mesh bumper (S&G).
The seven passengers cabin is now more luxurious and spacious with new interior color (greige). S A/T type now sports Gate transmission lever for a smoother handling. The change also applied to seats’ materials, steering wheel (4 spoke), and combination meter. New Avanza type E is also equipped with rear console box.
“We are optimist the change and the spec enhancement will increase the customers’ comfort and satisfaction which will raise Avanza’s credibility even further, especially as The Most Ideal First Car,” added Johnny Darmawan.
New Avanza comes with seven color choices: Silver Metallic, Champagne Metallic, Black Mica, Aqua Metallic, Light Green Metallic, Wine Red (new color), and Dark Grey (new color). As with other Toyota products, it is supported by 186 sales outlets and after sale service (maintenance and spare parts) at 165 service centers and 36 Body & Paint centers throughout Indonesia. Toyota also provides three years warranty or 100,000 km depends on whichever happen first.
