JAKARTA, INDONESIA - Toyota Financial Services Corporation (TFSC), in collaboration with Astra International Tbk, have finally established its 31st subsidiary in Indonesia. The company, registered under the name of PT. Toyota Astra Financial Services (TA Finance) was formally launched on 4th of August 2006, although operations have commenced since the beginning of May 2006.

A Press Conference was held on the Friday morning. 22 reporters from different newspapers, magazines, and online media were invited and news of the business establishment was published soon after. The President Director of PT. Toyota Astra Financial Services, Mr. Buntoro Mulyono described the company as a device to push Indonesia's automotive sales, Toyota brand specifically. TA Finance also aims to support Toyota Astra Motor (Toyota Distributor) to achieve / increase Toyota's market share in Indonesia.

The Board of Directors also confirmed the targeted Amount Financed for the year 2006, which is USD 60 million, and 6000 units as the targeted number of unit financed. TA Finance is said to be confident in setting its targets due to the support given by not only its parent companies and their subsidiaries, but also Toyota Global Funding.

The company launching ceremony took place at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel located in the Mega Kuningan complex in the heart of Jakarta. The 2-hour celebration was attended by a list of distinguished guests, which included Mr. Ryuji Araki (Chairman of TFSC), Mr. Ross Springer (President of Asia Oceania Region Toyota Financial Services Corporation), Mr. Takeshi Fukuda (Senior Vice President of TFSC), Mr. Michael D. Ruslim (the President Director of Astra International Tbk.), Mr. Johnny Darmawan (the President Director of Toyota Astra Motor), Mr. H. Ibaragi (the President Director of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia), Mr. Shinji Fujii (the Vice President of Toyota Astra Motor), Toyota main dealer and dealers, as well as TA Finance's business partners.

A group of dancers started the procession accompanied by a multimedia presentation - the culmination point being the integration of the two company logos of TFSC and Astra International into one unified logo of TA Finance.

Mr. Buntoro Mulyono, Mr. Yoshinari Ishikawa (the Vice President of TA Finance), along with the other directors: Mr. David Iskandar, Mr. Ayakuni Muramoto, Mr. Kurnadi Tanudjaja, and Mr. Desmond G. Stirling, came up to the stage to deliver the opening speech of the night, followed by speeches from Mr. Michael D. Ruslim and Mr. Ryuji Araki as the Chairman of TFSC. In his speech Mr. Mulyono re-emphasized TA Finance's vision, to be the most preferred financing solution for Toyota vehicle ownership, which was repeated again during the company's video profile presentation. Towards the end of dinner, guests were entertained by rising violinist, Mayla Fayza, and Indonesian diva, Krisdayanti.

The Company Launching was held to deliver one message to our parent companies, Toyota dealers, and other business partners, that TA Finance is ready to serve. The launching was a milestone for TA Finance, and a mark of the strength of Toyota and Astra's long-standing partnership.
